Step-by-step

Step 1
You can see all the materials you need for this creative idea at a glance in this photo. In our example, we used the edding 1200 metallic in silver.

Step 2
Cut the paper into narrow strips before decorating by using a colour pen to add patterns of your choosing.

Step 3
Next, fold the paper strip in half lengthways.

Step 4
With the folded side of the paper strip facing you, cut out small petals as shown in the photo.

Step 5
Once you’ve done that, unfold the individual petals and glue them together in the centre to create one large flower, making sure you press down really firmly. Ensure that the painted sides of your flower are pointing upwards.

Step 6
To give your flowers a nice 3D effect, slightly fan out the individual petals.

Step 7
First, take a sewing needle and prick a small hole in the middle of the flower, then carefully push a wooden kebab stick through the hole.

Step 8
You can also design your petals in different colours or cut out petals in different shapes – it’s entirely up to you! And there you have it: a beautiful bunch of flowers.
