Step-by-step

Step 1
Before you start, wash your jam jars thoroughly. You can remove any labels cleanly and easily using the edding 8180 label removal marker. In our example, we’ve used a fine-tipped edding 780 gloss paint marker in white, but there are plenty of other colours to choose from – just pick your favourite!

Step 2
Cut out one of the label templates (leave a generous margin around it) and place it inside your jar. Ideally, the piece of paper should be big enough for it to stand inside the jar without the need for sticky tape.

Step 3
Before you start, activate your gloss paint markers as follows: shake the marker vigorously with the cap still on. Next, remove the cap and carefully press the nib down a few times on some absorbent paper until the ink fills the tip. You can then trace the inscription onto your jar using the marker.

Step 4
Remove the paper template and wait briefly for the ink to dry. Next, fill your jar with your freshly made jam. Thanks to the marker’s highly opaque finish, your inscription will show up perfectly against the jam inside.
