Step-by-step

Step 1
You can see all the materials you need at a glance in our photo. The edding 400 offers an assortment of 10 smudge-proof, waterproof shades, while the edding 404 comes in a choice of four –just pick out your favourite colours.

Step 2
Think up some nice motifs or suitable wording for your design. Using the ultra-fine edding 404 permanent marker, we started with a border of little exclamation marks all around the edge of the coasters.

Step 3
Hand lettering written in a fun style can look highly decorative. You can also emphasise or underline specific words and enhance them with tiny motifs or graphic patterns. You can even add variety to your table décor by writing a different phrase or saying on each coaster.
