Step 1
Start by activating the edding chalk marker as follows. Shake the marker vigorously with the cap still on. Next, press the marker down on a piece of scrap paper and gently pump the nib several times until ink appears in the tip. Finally, write a few small strokes with the marker. Remember: always replace the cap firmly after use.

Step 2
Now think of a suitable motif to welcome your guests. We simply chose ‘Happy Halloween’. Design your board however you like using the activated chalk marker. You can achieve delightful effects by combining different font styles and colouring in single letters or emphasising them with double strokes. Fluttering bats will also breathe life into your design.
