It’s not just mums who appreciate a lovingly made card. Dads will also love being thought of on Father’s Day with a hand-made surprise. We’ve come up with a perfect card idea that even the youngest of children can manage, with hardly any help. The lettering template is available for download. Using the edding Funtastics fibre pens for children, simply colour in the design and stick on two matching pebbles for the body. There are 18 cheerful colours to choose from, available in a handy box. The ink can easily be washed off skin and will wash out of most textiles at 40°C. The best place to find nice, smooth pebbles is on the beach but if this isn’t possible, you can often also buy them in craft stores.

Step-by-step

Step 1

To colour in the card, you’ll need the edding Funtastics fibre pens for children with thick or thin nibs. First, download and print out the template as A4. You’re best finding beautifully smooth pebbles on the beach or even in well-stocked creative hobby stores or from craft retailers.

Step 2

You can colour in the words however you wish. For example, each letter in a different colour – whatever takes your fancy.

Step 3

Finally, colour in the stars and the wings. For more detailed elements such as the arms and legs, the thin nib of the edding 15 is ideal.

Step 4

Now all that remains is to add the head and body. Use pebbles and glue them onto your picture, exactly where you want them. And there you have it – your card is ready!
