Step-by-step

Step 1
Start by selecting your favourite colours for your design. If you’re unsure which colours to choose, edding’s handy sets of carefully co-ordinated colours may help you decide. The brush pens have a flexible nib, perfect for colouring large areas as well as adding delicate design details.

Step 2
For best results, we recommend you clean your jug with a cloth and some methylated spirit before you start in order to remove any fingerprints and dust.

Step 3
If you want to use several colours, it’s a good idea to apply one colour and then let it dry before applying the next. Until you fix your design in the oven, you can correct mistakes using a damp cloth or cotton bud at any time.

Step 4
Gradually build up your design by adding dainty stalks, flowers and blossom in your chosen colours. To avoid smudging your design with your fingers, hold the jug along its rim or pop your hand inside to support it.

Step 5
Once you’re happy with your design, leave it to dry for 15 minutes and then place your jug on a cold oven rack and bake in the oven – preheated to 160°C – for 25 minutes. Switch off the oven and leave the jug to cool inside. Your design will then be fixed and will even be dishwasher-safe.
