Step-by-step
Step 1
You can see everything you need at a glance in our photo. To create the words for our template, we simply experimented with various fonts on the computer before printing out our favourites in the size we wanted. In our example, we used edding 751 gloss paint markers in gold and pastel green. To mount the jars on the wall, adhesive hooks are very practical as there’s no drilling required.
Step 2
Photocopy the template in the size you want and attach it to the inside of the jar with sticky tape, so the writing clearly shows through.
Step 3
Next, trace over the outlines using the edding 751 gloss paint marker and colour in the letters. Before use, the marker needs to be activated as follows: shake the marker vigorously with the cap still on, then remove the cap, place the nib on absorbent paper and pump it up and down a few times until ink appears in the nib. Now you’re ready to get started (after use, always replace the cap securely and store the marker horizontally.) In our design, the word “green” has been decorated with tightly-packed dots around the letters.
Step 4
When it comes to mounting the jars on the wall, we recommend using adhesive screws to avoid the hassle of having to drill holes. Fix the adhesive screw to the wall where you want the jar to hang.
Step 5
Then screw your wall hook onto it. The final step is to plant up your jar and hang it from the hook by the clasp.
