Step-by-step

Step 1
First, wash the bag to remove any finishing agents in the fabric and leave to dry. Print out our “travel” template and get all your other materials ready. You’ll need the edding 4600 textile pen and the 4500 textile marker in black.

Step 2
Cut out a piece of cardboard the same size as the bag and place it inside. This helps to prevent the ink bleeding through to the back of the bag. Position the template inside the bag on top of the cardboard so the wording shows through clearly. Alternatively, you can make a light pencil sketch of the wording.

Step 3
For going over and colouring in the word “travel”, the thicker edding 4500 textile marker in black is the best choice. For the rest of the lettering, use the fine-nibbed edding 4600 textile pen.

Step 4
To heat-fix the design, iron the bag on the no-steam setting. Your designer accessory is now able to withstand wash cycles of up to 60°C.
