Step-by-step

Step 1
First, paint the faces of the cubes with the broader-nibbed paint marker, varying the colours as follows: paint the tops and 2 opposite sides in black. Leave to dry for a short time, then paint the remaining 3 faces in gold. Let the paint dry for about 10 minutes.
Before you start, here’s how to activate your edding gloss paint marker: Shake the marker firmly with the cap still on. Place the nib on some scrap paper and carefully pump it up and down a few times until ink fills the nib. Start by writing a few test strokes on the scrap paper. And don’t forget to always replace the cap securely after use.

Step 2
Next, draw narrow lines on the faces of each cube using the fine-nibbed paint marker, ensuring you add gold lines to black surfaces and vice versa. Use the ruler to help you draw 2 diagonal lines and a vertical one down the middle. Repeat this on each side of the cubes.

Step 3
Finally, secure the candle holders with screws, or glue them in place. Your candle decoration is now finished and ready to create a cosy atmosphere!
