Step-by-step

Step 1
To ensure the fabric absorbs the marker ink properly, we recommend you first wash, dry and iron the t-shirt. Next, pick the colours you want from the edding 4500 textile marker range. To make the “hello” template, print it out, (enlarge it if necessary), and use the carbonless copy paper to transfer it onto the self-adhesive film. Now cut it out neatly.

Step 2
Stick the template onto the t-shirt in the desired position and slip the piece of cardboard inside to prevent the ink going through to the back of the t-shirt. Now it’s time to get designing. With your chosen colours, draw lots of closely-spaced dots all around the letters.

Step 3
You’ll need to draw plenty of dots, particularly near the edges of the letters, to make the writing stand out clearly.

Step 4
Once you’ve finished designing, carefully remove the sticky film.

Step 5
Here’s a close-up view of the finished design.

Step 6
Finally, heat-fix your motif by going over it with an iron on the “no steam” setting. Your t-shirt is now wash-resistant up to 60°C.
