Step-by-step

Step 1
For best results, wash the pots with water (a dishwasher is ideal for this), then wipe with methylated spirits. Thorough cleaning is essential for removing any protective film applied during manufacture.

Step 2
Print out the letter template in the required size and cut it out. Position the letters on the pot and draw round them with a pencil to transfer the outlines.

Step 3
The fine brush tip of the edding porcelain brushpen is very versatile, so it’s easy to draw delicate detail or letters or broad brush strokes. We recommend drawing the outlines first using the brush-shaped tip, and then holding the pen flatter to colour them in.

Step 4
The creamy consistency ensures even distribution without drips or runs. If you make a mistake, simply wipe it off with a damp cloth or cotton bud. You can continue to make corrections right up until the pattern is fixed in the oven.

Step 5
When the design is finished, leave it to dry for 15 minutes. Then place the item on a cold rack, slide it into the oven and bake it in the pre-heated oven at 160°C for 25 minutes. Leave it in the oven to cool afterwards. After baking, your personalised herb pots will be dishwasher-safe.
