That’s why we created the edding Return Box Programme: a free, simple, and effective way to recycle used pens and markers while supporting a more circular economy.

The edding Return Box Programme has long made it easy to recycle used pens and markers. Now, in the UK, there is a new way to receive your Return Box—making it an all round more sustainable solution.

So, what’s the new process?

Step 1: Place your edding order

Purchase £150 worth of edding products from your educational supplier in the UK.

Fill in our short form, upload your proof of purchase, and we’ll dispatch your Return Box.
*For your very first box, no proof of purchase is required—so you can get started straight away. 
**Must be dated within the last 8 weeks.

Step 3: Fill it, Return it & We Will Recycle It!

Here’s where the magic happens: simply fill the return box with any brand of pen or marker, send it back to us using the free DPD label on the box, and we’ll recycle it right here in the UK.

The Return Box itself isn’t new—what’s new is the process for receiving your box by sharing a purchase order, currently for the UK only.

No, the programme exists in other regions. However, this new PO-based ordering method is currently a UK trial.

Any UK-based organisation, including offices, schools, warehouses, and other workplaces.

No—the box accepts all brands of pens and markers.

You can order up to 3 Return Boxes for your first order. Thereafter, we'll deliver one box, per PO supplied.

Yes. The box and return postage are free when you meet the £150 order threshold. Your first box does not require a PO.

No sorting is required—just place all used pens and markers into the box.
