Wedding congratulations in a picture frame

Looking for a suitable wedding present for the happy couple? Then check out this picture frame which makes a great alternative to a guest book. There’s a slot at the top of the frame for guests to insert their good wishes for the bride and groom. The frame is suitably decorated for the occasion with heart motifs, and you can use edding 1340 brush pens (or other fibre pens) to design the background. Our example shows the word “LOVE” written in bright colours, but you can use any motif that comes to mind – you can let your imagination run wild! Step-by-step

Step 1

You can see all the materials you need at a glance in our photo. First of all, print out the double heart image and cut out the inside of the motif. Adjust the sheet of white paper to suit the size of the picture frame. Use the jigsaw to cut out a slot in the top of the frame.

Step 2

Place the pink paper over the template, trace the frame of the heart motif and cut it out. Position the pink frame accurately on the sheet of white paper with the drawn-on heart and glue it in place, so you end up with a pink-framed heart. Take the edding 1800 and write the names of the bridal couple, or a suitable greeting, alongside the hearts.

Step 3

To make the background for your picture frame, take a sheet of white paper and decorate it using edding 1340 brush pens. You could write “LOVE” in your chosen colours, varying the letters sizes and jumbling them up to create a colourful pattern. The ultra-flexible tip of the brush pen allows you to write in different stroke widths, giving your motif a very varied look.

Step 4

Now fix the sheet of paper with the heart, plus the background sheet, securely in the frame. When the picture is set up on the wedding gift table, the paper hearts should be placed alongside it, together with an edding 1800 profipen, so that each guest can write their message and drop it into the box.
