Step-by-step
Step 1
To maximise absorption of the ink by the material, we recommend that you first wash and iron the pencil case. The textile pens are available in handy sets of assorted and carefully co-ordinated colours. You can see the basic set of 10 in this photo.
Step 2
Print out the template and place it in position. Of course, you can also draw your design freehand. To ensure the ink doesn’t go through the fabric where you don’t want it to, place a piece of card inside the bag. Next, use the edding textile pens to draw your motif, ideally by first outlining the border and then colouring in the middle section.
Step 3
When you’re ready, iron the pencil case without using steam. Your design will now be able to withstand wash cycles of up to 60°C.
