Step-by-step
Step 1
For our painting, we used the 3D double liner in a variety of colours: pastel rose, traffic yellow, pastel yellow, black, gentian blue, pastel blue, opulent turquoise and traffic white. Start by using the wide nozzle of the double liner to dab different-sized splotches of paint onto the canvas: black and gentian blue along the top section, pastel rose and pastel yellow across the middle.
Step 2
Next, take a wide piece of cardboard and blend the colours into each other while they’re still really wet. Start with the dark colours at the top, then take a clean piece of cardboard and move on to the pastel colours. You'll need to drag or swipe the paint multiple times.
Step 3
To make the sky a little more colourful, add a few splotches of gentian blue, pastel rose and pastel yellow and work them in. Leave the paint to dry for a short while. Now paint the sun in traffic yellow, again using the broad nozzle. The texture of the paste gives the sun plasticity. Now it's time to paint the mountains in pastel blue. Dot several splotches across the canvas.
Step 4
Spread the paste with the piece of cardboard to form the mountains. Fill in any gaps with further mountains and build up the paint layer. To give the picture an even more beautiful perspective, add more mountains to the foreground in opulent turquoise.
Step 5
The next step is to design the bottom section of your picture in gentian blue and blend the different tones of blue into each other where they meet. Again, a piece of cardboard is the perfect tool here. Create the lower edge of the picture using black colour paste.
Step 6
All that's missing now is the trees at the bottom. Holding the wide nozzle perpendicular to the canvas, drag the double liner and draw simple vertical lines in black and gentian blue for the tree trunks. Now create the tree branches with scribbled horizontal lines.
Step 7
For the finishing touch, add a few highlights in pastel colours and white to really bring your painting to life. Finally, a few white dots applied with the fine nozzle will light up the night sky with stars!
