Step-by-step
Step 1
Our photo shows you all you’ll need at a glance: a few attractive miniature succulents, plus a paint marker. In our example we used the fine edding 780 gloss paint marker in white (colour code 049).
Step 2
Before you use a gloss paint marker, it needs to be activated as follows: Shake the marker vigorously with the cap still on. Remove the cap, place the nib on absorbent paper and pump it up and down a few times until ink appears in the nib. Now you’re ready to get started. Always store the marker horizontally after use.
Step 3
Succulents can be used as place cards by marking the leaves either with the names of the guests or a nice sentiment such as “Enjoy your meal!” or “Bon appétit!”. Take care not to press too hard, so as not to damage the leaves.
Step 4
The idea is that every guest receives a miniature plant – a unique surprise they are sure to appreciate.
