Step-by-step

Step 1
You can see all the materials you need in this photo. To decorate the bow, we went for the edding 1340 metallic brush pen in red metallic. There are also five other metallic shades to choose from.

Step 2
Wrap your gift in the paper that’s not quite big enough and use sticky tape to attach it to your gift.

Step 3
Now take the second sheet of paper (brown paper) and completely wrap it around your gift in such a way that you can easily see where both sheets of paper meet on the front of your present. If you tear (rather than cut) the brown paper, this can create a really decorative effect (see photo).

Step 4
It’s now time to use the metallic brush pen: draw a big bow that extends the full length of the paper, making sure that your design covers both pieces of gift wrap to make it look as if the two sheets are joined together. Because the soft brush pen allows you to add both fine and broad strokes, your design can really bring the wrapping paper to life.

Step 5
If you wish, you can add more loops to your bow or include other details. It’s entirely up to you!
