A gift voucher is a fantastic gift idea for any occasion: a dinner for two, a day out, an ice cream, cinema tickets, or even a visit to the car wash! Naturally, it’s important to make sure that the voucher is redeemed – and that's more likely to happen if it's been individually designed by hand. We came up with the idea of turning popcorn boxes into cinema vouchers. And when it comes to designing your gift voucher, the edding 1200 metallic colourpen is a reliable assistant. This fibre-tipped pen creates an attractive metallic effect and is ideal for both writing and drawing, especially on dark paper.

Step-by-step

Step 1

Enlarge the template for the popcorn box to the size you want, print it off and cut it out. Place the template on the coloured card and cut out the shape. Fold all the marked edges. Using a pencil, trace the letters CINEMA down one side of the box (make sure the box is standing upright, as shown in the photo opposite). You can use light-coloured transfer paper to transfer the stencil letters to the card.

Step 2

Now take the edding 1200 metallic colourpen in bright colours and colour in the letters. Join the edges of the popcorn box, glue them together and do the same with the base. Next, line the box with tissue paper.

Step 3

If you wish, you can use any scraps of coloured card to make small gift tags which can be inscribed with the help of the edding 2185 gel roller. Adding delicate designs to the box using the gel roller also looks really attractive. Secure the gift tag to the box with ribbon. Fill with popcorn – and there, your gift voucher is finished!
