Step-by-step
Step 1
You can see all the materials you need at a glance in our photo. To create your illustration, you’ll need the edding 4095 chalk marker in green, plus edding 4085 chalk markers by Securit in white and various shades of pastel green. Start by printing out our template with the plant motifs.
Step 2
Before you start designing, you need to activate the white edding chalk marker as follows: shake the marker vigorously with the cap on, then remove the cap, place the nib on a piece absorbent paper and pump the marker up and down gently a few times until ink appears in the nib. Now you’re ready to get drawing. Do the same with the other colours as you go along. And after use, always replace the cap securely and store the marker horizontally.
Step 3
Place the template under the piece of glass and use the primed chalk markers to gradually copy everything. It’s easier if you draw the outlines first and then colour them in. If your first attempt doesn’t quite work out, or you want to change something, simply wipe off the ink with a damp cloth and start again.
Step 4
The best marker for really delicate leaves and stems is the edding 4085 chalk marker by Securit, which has a stroke width 1-2 mm. However, if you’re applying large motifs or you prefer thicker lines, we recommend the edding 4095 chalk marker with a stroke width of 2-3 mm.
