Step-by-step
Step 1
Cut out a piece of coloured art paper to make the desired size of card, or use a ready-made one. We recommend you start by laying out your hand lettered design with a light pencil sketch before using the edding 2185 gel rollers to add colour. The metallic shades we used in our example are blue metallic (colour code 073), green metallic (074), gold (053), silver (054) violet metallic (078) and blue (003)
Step 2
You can play around with different techniques, such as broad or narrow lettering and fill them in with dots or dashes, dotted lines or patterns. To round off the design, patterns of dots and lines are good for linking up the individual letters. Lots of other detailed designs are easy to draw thanks to the fine pen nib – as you can see from this bunting card we made.
