Make sure you have all the materials you need before starting. We chose the following colours for our creative idea: classy mauve (935), pastel blue (916) and pastel rose (914).
Cut the woven cane into strips. The size of these depends on how long and how wide you want your serviette rings to be. We used multiple paint colours in our example. To achieve this effect, use the masking foil to carefully cover up any area(s) you don’t want painted.
You should carefully protect your working area with the protective sheet. To find our essential tips for perfect spraying, visit the Spray Basics section of our website. First, shake the spray can for 3 minutes, then remove the sprayhead and prise off the safety ring with the aid of a screwdriver.
We recommend you spray at a distance of around 25 cm, using a continuous spiral motion, so the paint covers more evenly. Let each colour dry for approx. 1 hour before applying the next, continuing in the same way until you have the colour combination you’re aiming for.
Once the designs are finished, bend the strips into a ring shape and tie the ends together as you would a shoelace.
