DIY money gifts

Festively packaged money gifts

Giving money as a gift is sure to go down well at any time of the year (not just at Christmas!) because the lucky receiver can then choose to spend it however they like. The money gift ideas themselves are great – but how about a really original way of gift wrapping the banknotes? We’ve come up with a creative way of presenting them that’s particularly suitable for the Christmas season: the bank notes are attached to decorative twigs which are artfully arranged in a porcelain plant pot with the aid of floral foam. This original way of presenting a money gift can be customised for the occasion by adding a suitable design with edding porcelain brushpens. The design is then made permanent by baking in the oven. According to your preferred shades, there are different colour sets to choose from – warm reds, cool blue/green tones or assorted colours – which you can use to add stars, other Christmassy motifs or greetings to the porcelain.

The creamy application of the porcelain brushpen ensures an even finish without drips or runs. And if the letters or patterns don’t turn out the way you want, there’s no need to worry, because prior to baking in the oven you can simply wipe the ink off with a damp cloth.
