Christmas baubles are loved by everyone (not just children!), and are a popular decoration in many homes – just like candles, angels and the aroma of freshly-baked festive treats. Every year, baubles appear in the shops in an array of glorious new colours; however, for a much more personal touch, you can decorate your own unique Christmas baubles yourself. What’s more, with the help of edding gloss paint markers you can create the most wonderful patterns and motifs with very little effort. The ink is paint-like and opaque when applied and leaves behind a glossy finish on glass surfaces, whether light or dark. These versatile markers are available in a range of up to 18 gleaming colours – including white and stunning metallic shades – and a choice of stroke widths.

Step-by-step

Step 1

Before you start decorating, follow our instructions on how to activate the edding gloss paint marker. We recommend that you practise your chosen motifs on a sheet of paper beforehand. There’s no need to make them complex, since even plain white spots look great on a dark background. A white bauble, on the other hand, is easy to decorate with basic Christmas trees or Christmas greetings. The ideal pen for this task is the edding 751 gloss paint marker which has a stroke width of 1-2 mm.

Step 2

If you prefer very fine or delicate designs, then go for the edding 780 gloss paint marker which gives the best results for fine hand lettering and detailed motifs due to its extremely fine nib. We used hand lettering to write “Let it snow” on this pink bauble. As you can see, there’s no limit to your creativity!
