Schritt für Schritt
Cut the fireproof translucent paper for lanterns to match the height of the lantern (approx. 30 cm). When cut, the paper should be wide enough to go round the lantern, i.e. the circumference of the lantern cover and base. Remember to leave a 2 cm overlap for gluing. Glue the fireproof paper to the top and bottom of the lantern cover to form a cylinder. Glue the overlapping edges together. Allow to dry, then remove the film from the fireproof paper and stick the thin, red translucent paper to it to form colourful stripes.
Draw your chosen motifs on the lantern body with the edding gloss paint markers. Place the "crown" template from these instructions inside the lantern so the motif shows through. Trace over the crown. The edding 750 gloss paint marker is suitable for larger areas and wider lines, while the edding 751 gloss paint marker is good for more detailed designs and for writing special words.
Punch holes for attaching the handle in the horizontal rim of the cover then insert the handle. Place a tea light or an artificial tea light inside the lantern and let the lantern procession begin!
