Schritt für Schritt
Gather all your materials before you start. For this craft idea we used anthracite (colour code 926) classy mauve (935), pastel yellow (915), pastel green (917) and pastel pink (914).
Start by sawing the toy animals in half down the middle, as you’ll only need one back piece or front piece for each hook. That’s why it’s important to use broader animals, otherwise they won’t work properly as hooks.
Cover your surrounding working area carefully with the protective sheet. The Spray basics section on our website gives you handy tips to ensure a perfect spraying technique. Start by shaking the spray can for 3 minutes, then remove the sprayhead and prise off the safety ring with the aid of a screwdriver.
We recommend you spray at a distance of around 25 cm, using a continuous spiral motion so the paint covers more evenly. We decorated the animals in pastel colours and the wooden board in anthracite. For a touch of originality, use a combination of several animal heads and a single back piece.
Wait roughly 30 mins until the paint is completely dry before attaching the animals to the board with the hot glue gun. Your DIY coat rack is now finished. All that remains is to fix it to the wall.
