Schritt für Schritt
Once you’ve thought up a motif it’s a good idea to prepare a template using the black permanent marker. Place the template inside the T-shirt so the motif shows through clearly. Another benefit of using a template is that it prevents the ink from bleeding through to the back of the T-shirt. Using the fine textile pen, start by copying the outlines of the letters and then colour them in.
You may prefer to draw freehand, of course. However, you should still place a piece of cardboard between the layers of fabric so the ink doesn’t bleed through. We think combining a dainty motif with a saying looks really lovely, like this idea using a dandelion.
If you prefer a nautical look, then you should naturally go for a blue marker. Little boats in the style of folded paper boats are a fun idea. Finally, heat-fix the design using an iron on the no-steam setting. Your designer piece is now wash-resistant up to 60°C.
