Tea is the best medicine

Tea is the best medicine

Get well soon!

When a close friend or a family member feels unwell and takes to their bed, kind words of sympathy and get well wishes will help them feel better and get up and about sooner. The saying "A problem shared is a problem halved" applies at times like this, and a lovingly decorated card will really boost their spirits. To help them on their way to recovery, why not stick a couple of refreshing tea bags to the card. And to write your get well wishes and positive sentiments, edding 1200 metallic colour pens and edding gel rollers are the ideal choice, especially on dark paper.

You will need:
  • Coloured card in the size you want, or a pre-folded card
  • Paper in various colours for the tags and tiny envelopes
  • 1 edding 1200 metallic colour pen in silver (there are six attractive metallic colours to choose from)
  • Glue stick, pencil, masking tape
  • Scissors, fine string
  • Tea bags
Step-by-step instructions:
  1. Take the sheet of coloured card and cut out your card in the size and shape of your choice.
  2. Write the message "KEEP CALM AND DRINK TEA" faintly in pencil, then go over it with the edding 1200 metallic pen. Make the lettering look more effective by varying the size of the letters.
  3. You could make tiny colour-coordinated envelopes to match, then insert the tea bag or good luck message and stick them onto the card with masking tape.
  4. Or simply use masking tape to fix the tea bags directly onto the card.
  5. Cards made out of coloured or dark paper can be decoratively designed and inscribed with edding gel rollers in metallic colours; there are seven shades to choose from.
