We wanted to find out for ourselves: so, in the autumn of 2013, we arranged for our printer cartridges to be tested by over 450 consumers as part of an independent study.
On a scale of 1-7 (7 = “I really liked them”), participants in the study gave edding’s print quality an average score of 6 for all applications. In fact, 91% of respondents described edding quality as being “as good” or “even better” when compared with their usual printer cartridges. Consumers who, in the main, had previously used original cartridges were particularly impressed with the compatible cartridges supplied by edding.
All participants in the study gave edding printer cartridges very good scores, especially when it came to key quality criteria such as colour brilliance, definition and drying – regardless of whether printing in colour, black and white or in photo quality. 88% of respondents said they had no problems handling the edding printer cartridges.
These results are part of a broad-based study of 454 consumers carried out in September 2013 on behalf of edding by the market-research institute OPINION. In the study, owners of colour inkjet printers and/or inkjet multifunction printers tested a complete set of products from the edding range over a period of two weeks in their own home. The survey also included users of original cartridges who were prepared to consider using compatible cartridges, as well as consumers who were, for the most part, already using compatible cartridges for printing which were comparable to the ones supplied by edding.
