These terms and conditions of use apply to all content on the website at http://edding.de (hereinafter 'the Website') for which edding International GmbH (hereinafter 'edding') Bookkoppel 7, D-22926 Ahrensburg, Germany is responsible. These terms and conditions of use may be altered at any time if changes to the respective Website content or statutory provisions make such action necessary. You declare that you agree to the respective changes and the validity of the latest version available at the time of use.

edding provides articles, information and advertising material on selected subjects on the Website.  

edding accepts no liability for the correctness, completeness, reliability and appropriateness of the content provided. Information, details and disclosures are not binding. Essentially, it shall not be possible to make liability claims against edding on account of incorrect, incomplete or inappropriate content.

There is no entitlement to use the Website content. Technical disruptions or faults may occur that lead to the temporary unavailability of the Website.  

Although edding takes all necessary precautions, it cannot guarantee that use of the Website content will not lead to damage (misuse by a third party for the purpose of spreading viruses, etc.). edding shall not be liable for damage caused to hardware or software as a result of using the Website, unless edding has acted with deliberate intent or gross negligence. Moreover, in the event of injury to life, limb or health, edding shall not be excluded from liability for negligence. 

If direct or indirect reference is made to links on the Website, edding shall essentially not be liable unless edding was aware of the unauthorised content of linked information and if it is technically possible and reasonable to prevent use in the case of unauthorised content. edding uses links to refer to specific publications and content and shall not be held liable for any content beyond that indicated, nor, in particular, for any damage resulting from the use of such unauthorised content. Instead, the respective provider of the linked pages shall be held solely liable. edding does not embrace the content of third party websites and disassociates itself from any criminal content or content relevant to liability in linked information


All text, images and other work made available on the edding Website and produced for the Website are protected by copyright. The content is designed exclusively for personal, non-commercial use within the context of the Website. In the event of non-compliance with this requirement edding may take action under civil or criminal law. 

You shall exempt edding on first request from any third-party claims and any legal costs incurred resulting from unauthorised use of the Website and associated actions by you or sanctioned by you, or resulting in particular from disputes relating to the use of the Website involving data protection, copyright or other legal matters. If you become aware of or have to acknowledge that such a breach is imminent, you are obliged to inform edding of this immediately.


This agreement is governed by the substantive laws of the Federal Republic of Germany under exclusion of its conflict of law rules. The place of performance is Ahrensburg.

If you use content on the Website that is subject to registration, you consent to the collection, storage, processing and use of personal data for the purpose of implementing agreements, providing services or fulfilling legal reporting or monitoring obligations.   

If you request an edding newsletter, you also agree to the collection, storage, processing and use of your personal data for the purpose of sending the newsletter and for edding after-sales and information services.  

The edding web server collects certain data that automatically provides details of your web browser programme. This includes in particular

  • the Internet address from which you are visiting the edding Website

edding does not use cookies at http://edding.com. edding cannot, however, guarantee that third parties do not use cookies if you access or use content on the Website that has been placed there by a third party. Cookies are files that identify a specific user and can store your personal preferences regarding the use of the Website and/or technical information. If you do not want cookies to be stored on your PC then unclick the corresponding option under your browser's system settings.

If the Website contains advertising, edding will indicate that the Website may also use third party ad servers to deliver the advertising you see on the Website.  

You are entitled to ask edding, free of charge, for information regarding your personal data that has been stored, its origin and recipients and the reasons why it has been stored.

You are entitled to ask edding at any time to delete all personal data relating to you, which has been collected, stored, processed or used by edding.
