Natural highlights: the eco-friendly edding 24 is now available in two new colours

edding 24 highlighter natural based ink colourant

When it comes to protecting the environment, these new highlights are true naturals - not least due to the fact that the ink constituents are based on naturally available materials. This saves on resources because no finite raw materials, such as crude oil, are needed to produce the ink. In addition, the tips of the new highlighters are made of recycled material. The edding 24 is just one of several in the EcoLine series - introduced in 2008 - and a fantastic example that demonstrates how environmental management at edding extends way beyond what is required of the company by law. At least 70 per cent of the cap and barrel of this highlighter are made from renewable resources. What's more, the fibres used to make the filter are also made of recycled material.

Committed to conservation

From energy savings to waste reductions and the use of alternative sources of power: environmental protection appears in many guises. In their own small way, everyone can do their bit to help preserve the planet. With the launch of the two new colours - Eco Green and Eco Red-Violet - to complement the five existing shades in the 24 series, market leader edding is not merely presenting seven premium-quality highlighters: it is also offering customers any easy way to support the environment. The green credentials of this marker series are highlighted not simply by the fact that the markers use  renewable resources and recycled materials, but also the fact that they can be refilled using the edding HTK 25 refill service. Yet, it's not just in relation to writing implements that edding is environmentally-aware: the company also seeks eco-friendly solutions in the production of its packaging materials and displays.  Packaging materials, for example, are made entirely of cardboard. Presentation aids designed for dealers, meanwhile, are made of 94.5 per cent recycled materials.

The edding 24: environmental protection in brilliant colours

Be it for newspapers, books, magazines, on printer paper or on fax paper: with its chisel tip, the edding 24 - with a stroke width of approx. 2-5 mm  - allows easy, accurate marking and highlighting of text on almost all kinds of paper. Available in the neon colours of yellow, pink, blue green and - now - orange, the brilliant ink of this highlighter series is water-based. This also goes for the two new markers, Eco Green and Eco Red-Violet, whose ink constituents are made from naturally available materials. The natural design of the barrel, cap and packaging serve to visually underline the eco-friendly features of this product range.
