“Deck the tree with shining baubles”

Traditional spruces, dark, glossy Nordmann firs or wonderfully shaped pines: at Christmas time, the annual search for the right needle conifer involves the agony of choice. And it’s a choice that often continues merrily once you’ve got your tree home. For, once you have solved any difficulties (perhaps the trunk is too thick or you have no stand for your tree), it’s time to get decorating. And the choice is enormous. Although fairy lights, tinsel and paper chains are traditional, it is mainly Christmas-tree baubles that have often been seen adorning branches since the year dot. So, with a little imagination and some edding paint markers, you can create wholly individual decorations at the flick of a wrist. Giving the whole family something to do: paint, and prepare to be amazed!

There’s nothing against traditional yuletide symbols, such as Father Christmas, angels and the like: it’s just that, with the non-wipe, waterproof paint markers from edding’s wealth of ideas in your hand and a creative idea in your head, you can create quite a different look for this year’s tree. Because: decorative Christmas baubles do not always have to depict traditional symbols of Christmas, nor should baubles dangling from the tree have to be in just one colour. What about woolly white sheep, for example? They are quick to draw and will delight the whole family. Simply give the paint maker a good shake and, by pressing down on the tip of the marker, pump a few times and off you go. First, paint the body of the sheep on your Christmas-tree bauble using the white paint marker, then draw the outline in black. To make it look like a real sheep, paint the head and legs brown. If you like, draw tufts of green grass under your sheep’s feet, or add falling snowflakes. And that’s it! And the best thing of all: these new-look baubles can certainly be used to decorate more than just your Christmas tree. Draped over a flower vase, the baubles will ensure that the spirit of Christmas pervades throughout the home.
The paint markers are available in four stroke widths: the edding 750 is 2-4 mm, the edding 751 1-2 mm, the edding 753 (with a calligraphy tip) 1-2.5 mm, and the edding 780 0.8 mm. In total, there are up to 14 colours available, including gold and, of course, trendy copper.

By the way: you can also have a great time at Christmas with other products from edding’s hobby range. For example, by using the edding 2185 crystaljelly, which can create a good shine even on dark paper. Because the ten metallic colours, together with (newly available) white, ensure unique effects, especially on dark backgrounds. Dull Christmas cards or plain wrapping paper can be turned into unique decorative items  - it’s as easy as ABC!
With the 12 waterproof colours in the edding deco marker range, you can, at the flick of a wrist, transform a boring old pot into a decorative plant pot, which will even have room for a miniature Christmas tree. So, get painting and have a good Christmas!
