Whether it’s a fun afternoon of art-and-craft or your very own Red Indian party, the range of hobby products available from edding will make any child’s birthday go with a swing.
(Ahrensburg, July 2002) A happy and successful birthday party is one of the most important experiences a child can have. Perfect ingredients might include an exciting Red Indian party between wigwams and totem poles, or a creative afternoon of art-and-craft fun. And with the products available from edding, imaginations will know no bounds.
Whether creating his own individual card memory game or making decorative candle holders with a circle of friends, no good art-and-craft session should be without deco markers, just one of the many good ideas from edding. To make the candle holders, all you need to do is stick two ceramic pots of equal size together, base to base, with suitable glue, and leave to dry. Next, using a pencil, draw a dragon design onto your candle holder and colour it in using one of the twelve wonderfully intense colours in the edding 4000 deco marker range. These markers can even be used to colour in large areas without problem. The edding 4040 has a stroke width of 1-2 mm to ensure happy faces and sharp outlines. And once you have carefully added a thick candle, there’s nothing to stand in the way of a wonderfully atmospheric autumn afternoon.
However, if you also need to turn “harmless” birthday guests into magnificently decorated Indian chiefs, edding hobby markers will prove indispensable accessories. A simple trick will enable you to create your very own Indian head-dress at little cost. Simply use a black deco marker to colour in the tips of goose feathers, and suddenly you have rare eagle feathers before you. You can then attach these feathers to the head band and decorate it using 4500 T-shirt markers or the somewhat finer edding 4600 T-shirt pens. Both come in 20 vivid colours. And to ensure that these little works of art even survive war dances the following year, we recommend that you fix your art work by giving it a quick iron to make it wash resistant up to 60 °C.
But what if Sam does not want to join with these birthday antics? Alternatively, children can have terrific fun painting suns, little hearts or whole herds of horses on mummy’s freshly cleaned windows. The ideal tool: edding window markers. Shake the marker vigorously and pump several times by pressing down on the tip – that’s all there is to it. And there is no need to worry: the low-odour, highly opaque non-fade, liquid chalk is water-based and can easily be wiped off again with a damp cloth. The window marker is available in two different stroke widths: edding 4090 at 4-15 mm for colouring in larger areas, and the edding 4095 at 2-3 mm for finer details and outlining. There are ten and five intensive colours available respectively.
