Highest honour for the edding Tower. The Shop-in-Shop system has won gold in the “Publishing, Stationery & Leisure” category at the “POPAI European Awards 2009”.
In the display sector, a POPAI award is the highest accolade there is. The company that made the edding Tower is GKS & Arndt Display in Hamburg. The award was presented to Managing Director Olaf Arndt on 25th June 2009 at a gala dinner in front of an audience of 550 industry experts in Paris.
Developed in 2008 specifically for use by dealers, the edding Tower is a highly flexible system designed for the presentation of merchandise. The Tower captivates customers thanks not only to its striking design but also its extraordinary versatility. With a host of integral components to choose from, dealers can stock the Tower to suit their own needs and tailor it to fit the available floor space. It is even possible join two or more Towers together.
Expressing delight at receiving the award, Angelika Schumacher, Marketing Manager at edding International GmbH, said: “We are thrilled to have won this award. We feel this is vindication of our efforts to develop customer-friendly, design-oriented displays”.
From drinks to perfumes to leisure goods: at the European POPAO Awards, the shortlist of entries included 345 displays in 45 different categories. As well as the actual design, judges also had to consider other critical factors such as practicability and technical execution.
