You are here:  Ostern 2007

What happy little bunnies are we!

A good amount of puff and some deco markers from edding: that’s all that fans of Easter time need to turn ordinary eggs into veritable works of art. Other items too – such as plain, terracotta plates - can also quickly be transformed into decorative objects using the colourful markers from edding. It’s so simple, you won’t be left with egg on your face.

“Cold, getting warmer, boiling!” On Easter Sunday, these words and others like them will be used once again by (grand) parents to help their offspring spring off as they hare around in search of eggs. That’s because the chocolate eggs so carefully hidden by the Easter Bunny are sometimes more difficult to find than intended.

Be it an Easter egg or a plate for decorating, this year’s Easter accessories, by contrast, are easy to find. So how are they made?  First, the egg: carefully prick each end of the egg using a long, pointed needle, take a deep breath and blow. Next, rinse with water and leave to dry thoroughly. Using a white edding 4000 deco marker (stroke width 2-4 mm) draw the outline of a bunny rabbit and then colour it in completely using the same deco marker. As soon as the white ink is dry, use the edding 4040 deco marker (stroke width 1-2 mm) to draw a brown outline around the white edge and add the face, paws, etc.

Your creation is now finished, and thanks to the special edding deco marker ink, your work of art now reveals an attractive, matt-shine effect. By the way: deco markers can be used to decorate not just egg shells, but a whole host of other natural surfaces, such as wood or terracotta. In total, there are 12 different colours to choose from.

And for all those of you who never want these amusing little bunnies to hop it, you can immortalise them on clothes, napkins and tablecloths using the t-shirt pens and markers from edding. A small tip: fix your design after you have drawn it by ironing the item of clothing without steam. This will ensure that your creations survive wash cycles of up to 60°C without fading. Available in 20 different colours.

The RRP, including VAT, is €3.35 for the edding 4000/ edding 4040 deco marker, € 2.15 for the edding 4500 t-shirt marker and € 1.15 for the edding 4600 edding t-shirt pen.
