Sitting pretty!
|
On your marks, get set, go outside! The open-air season is upon us. In gardens or on balconies everywhere, now is the time to sit back and soak up the summer. And the only things that sun-worshippers need are a “colourful” imagination, chairs in different styles and materials and edding t-shirt and paint markers. From deckchairs to plastic garden chairs: why put yourself in the hot seat, when you can create “cool” seating that will make everyone sit up.

These ideas will surely have your neighbours falling off their chairs. Because this summer, even if you don’t have green fingers, you can turn your “second living room” into a highly colourful paradise. And, naturally, it’s a breeze to do! For, when all is said and done, when it’s 30º C in the shade no one should be working up an unnecessary sweat. To begin with, why not modify the classic deckchair and turn it into a gloriously colourful summer outfit? All you need to do is think up a cheeky motto and, using the edding 4500 t-shirt markers or the edding 4600 t-shirt pens, write it onto the fabric. Next, take your creation – be it Beach Babe, Pool Attendant or Take a Break – and fix it by ironing it (“no-steam” setting) for a few minutes. This will ensure not only that your masterpiece will survive wash cycles of up to 60º C without fading, but also that it can be left out in the rain. The edding 4500 t-shirt marker (stroke width: 2-3 mm) and the edding 4600 t-shirt pen (stroke width: approx. 1 mm) are available in 20 different trendy colours. Both products leave behind a lasting impression - even on linen, jute, silk and countless mixed fabrics.

But let’s continue by creating your next, very own space in the sun. Whether new or old, it does not matter: by using the paint-like, opaque paint markers from edding, you can turn any common-or-garden plastic chair into a real eye-catcher. Veritable trend setters to give your plain ordinary furniture a retro look. Because this trend does not really have to stop at the balcony or the patio door. To make sure everything is sitting perfectly, first activate your paint markers. This means vigorously shaking the marker with the cap still on. Next, place the tip of the marker on a piece of paper and pump several times by carefully pressing down on the tip until you see the ink appear. And away you go! And here is another “tip” from us: because different surfaces have different properties, briefly test the durability of the edding paint markers somewhere inconspicuous before you begin. With four different stroke widths and up to 14 colours, these water-resistant paint markers from edding will create an atmosphere in which to sit back and relax. And by the way: the paint markers also have excellent non-fade properties. Now the summer really can get started!
