The art of wrapping!

From a best-selling novel or a designer jacket to the next technological marvel: at Christmas time in particular, wrapping paper is used to conceal many a much-longed-for object of desire. Yet, rarely do these parcels do much to catch the eye. No wonder: boring colours, childlike designs and standard, impersonal greetings are all part-and-parcel of shop-bought gift-wrap. And if you’re looking for a Christmas card with a seasonal message, manufacturers don’t seem to know the difference between what’s art and what’s naff. So, anyone hoping to score a double hit with their presents this Christmas need remember only one thing: do it yourself - make your own wrapping paper. With the help of edding 751 paint markers, brown paper can be transformed into a gift-wrap masterpiece at the flick of a wrist. Meanwhile, the edding 2185 crystaljelly range can add a touch of sparkle, completely transforming gift tags and greetings cards.

With people fidgeting excitedly in their seats, continually casting a curious glance beneath the Christmas tree, scarcely able to wait to unwrap their presents, this can mean only one thing: yes, at last, Christmas Day is here again. This year, the anticipation and excitement of friends and family does not have to be confined solely to what’s inside: the attractive wrapping paper can also play its part. For, when all is said and done, you can now make your very own original gift wrap in next to no time. By using the edding 751 paintmarker in gold, you can transform simple, single-colour sheets into wrapping paper that will really make its “presents” felt. Why not, for example, decorate the paper with twinkling stars, in all different sizes - or even add your very own season’s greetings. One small tip: an outline along the outside or the inside will make your works of art stand out even more. In fact, it’s almost a shame to have to ever unwrap it!

The non-wipe, waterproof paintmarkers from edding are available in four stroke widths: whilst the edding 750 measures 2-4 mm, the edding 751 1-2 mm and the edding 753 (with a calligraphy tip) 1-2.5 mm, the edding 780 has a stroke width of 0.8 mm. In total, up to 14 colours are available, including trendy copper. The paint-like, opaque ink will adhere to almost all materials.

A Christmas card is often more valuable than even the largest present. It offers space for you to write all manner of personalised messages and greetings. And they’re best written using the edding 2185 crystaljelly pen. The gel roller from the box of tricks of the Ahrensburg-based company will bring a real shine to even the darkest of surfaces. Because, together with white, the metallic shades ensure great effects - especially on dark paper. And you don’t need to be gifted to turn gift tags into individual works of art in a matter of moments. Not only that: if you’ve lots of friends and family, with 17 colours in the crystaljelly range, you’ll never tire of writing all those season’s greetings.
