Green tomatoes!

edding is expanding the colour range of its edding 1200 color pen. From the end of January 2004, the popular fibre pen will be available in four trendy, new shades.

(Ahrensburg, January 2004) It’s a scene we’re all familiar with: outside, the heavens have opened whilst, inside, the mood has hit rock bottom. “I’m so bored” is a frequent refrain heard by many a parent. Here’s our tip: grab some sheets of A3 paper, place them on the floor and let your little ones draw, draw, draw.  Meanwhile, things are just as tiresome at home for the teenager, hassled by different concerns. Instead of going to the cinema and eating popcorn, he has to draw all the rivers of Africa onto a prepared map. Of course, it’s always best to use the edding 1200 color pens. These fibre pens from the Ahrensburg-based company’s wealth of ideas are now available in 28 (previously 24) different colours. So, on paper at least, you can show at the flick of a wrist that tomatoes don’t always have to be red and that homework can be fun. And because, as well all know, the best way to teach is to lead by example, even grown-ups can let their creativity run wild using the edding color pens.

Gold ochre, brick red, lavender and light olive green: the range of colours available in the edding 1200 color pen series has now been expanded to include these four trendy, new shades. Which means that, be it in their bedrooms or at school, children can get stuck into a magnificent multi-coloured world of art. Drawing whatever they like. However they like. And, of course, the same also goes for would-be artists and anyone else who draws for a hobby. With these classic fibre pens, you can put your ideas onto paper in an instant. No previous knowledge required.

But what if a passion for art becomes a vocation? No problem: for graphic artists and illustrators alike, the colour pen - with its bullet tip - is the ideal tool for drawing, sketching and highly effective layout work. And it’s all possible thanks to the excellent non-fade properties and, of course, the large selection of trendy colours.

So, whether neon green or steel blue: the edding 1200 color pen has a stroke width of 0.5 to 1 mm. Meanwhile, the edding 1300 color pen, with a stroke width of approx. 3 mm, is more suitable for colouring larger areas. Both products contain a water-based ink. They can be bought individually or in handy sets of 10 or 20. Oh, and one more small tip: in their attractive packaging, they also make a much welcome gift for any occasion.
